Earth Hour

So earth hour came and went, It all feels like a new fashion thing. Why do people have to show that they are willing to switch of their lights for an hour once in a blue moon? It is such a fad.

What is the point of all this? Imagine trying to live without electricity for 9 hours a day due to load shedding. I personally did not celebrate (its starting to sound like a hallmark greeting card event) earth hour. I believe its all a joke...
